"Elizabeth Taylor to wed wearing $3 million diamond turban

Screen legend Elizabeth Taylor will wear a diamond-set turban worth more than $3 million at her forthcoming wedding, according to the turban's designer, Keith Holman.
The turban features a 30-carat centre stone and two 40-carat round yellow canary diamonds, said Holman, who worked on a number of stage outfits for late singer Michael Jackson in the 1980s. Taylor, 78, will be marrying her long-time companion Jason Winters - a Los Angeles-based talent agent who is 49."There is a 30-carat centre stone, two yellow canary diamonds 40 carat round and the headpiece is partially platinum," Holman told BANG Showbiz. It's taking about 12 artists to work on this piece and it will have a silver and gold fabric and is being hand-woven. Holman is also designing Taylor's wedding dress, an extravagant kaftan to match the luxurious headwear. The wedding is due to take place later this year, but the venue is being kept secret. Taylor been wed eight times to seven different men –after marrying Richard Burton twice. She famously received the 33.19-carat Asscher-cut Krupp Diamond in 1968 from Burton, and in 1972 he bought her a 69.42-carat pear-shape gem, later to be called the Taylor-Burton Diamond, which was cut from a rough stone weighing 240.80 carats
